I am Tara Darnley and I am a wife, mom, daughter, sister, and friend. Each day through my many roles and titles, I try to incorporate this attitude and mindset. Necessity is the mother of invention is an old proverb and very much true for me. Our daughter forced us into entrepreneurship; we saw a need for a teether at the time that she would not need to hold and that birth the idea of our first invention, the Yummy Mitt® teething mitten.
Together my husband and I are Co-Founders of Darlyng & Co., an award-winning Eco-Friendly baby brand. National attention has come our way via features on the Steve Harvey Talk Show, Marie Claire, Black Enterprise, What to Expect & Newborn and Pregnancy Magazine to name a few. Sold and distributed worldwide.
Like many, I worked in a toxic work environment and definitely did not want to return to that atmosphere after our first child. I did not want us to miss any important milestones in our daughter’s life and this motivated me more than any other thing to make sure we had a successful and profitable company to enable both of us to do so. With little capital, I was persistent in pushing forward, even if that meant filing and securing our own patent and trademarks through extensive research. Our kids inspire us daily.
Dreams Inspire Reality is an extension of us, we believe in helping others succeed. Whatever success may look like to them. I wanted to launch a podcast that would highlight everyday creatives and entrepreneurs living their best lives possible. Sharing practical and strategic tips. Are you ready to turn your dreams into reality?

Diane Simovich is Founder of BW NICE, Business Women Networking Involving Charity & Education, a unique women’s networking organization established in April 2009, in central New Jersey. BW NICE provides women at all stages of business and personal life with support, education, and resources and encompasses three key elements: networking, education, and charity. Networking – BW NICE builds a support system of professional women who provide assistance and guidance to each other and those in need. Education – Members share best practices and methods for building a successful business and career. Charity – Each BW NICE chapter raises funds and awareness supporting local organizations in the fight against domestic violence and sexual assault. Additionally, each chapter provides critical support to women and children in transition through monthly donations as well as an annual gala fundraiser, The Red Shoe ™ Luncheon & Fashion Show. The Red Shoe ™ symbolizes unity, strength and empowerment and honors the journey of those who have been impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
Patterned after a successful model she co-founded, launched, and nurtured in California, Diane had a desire to connect with like-minded business women in the community after a number of personal hardships brought her back to her New Jersey roots to be near family. BW NICE was selected as a finalist for the 2012 Leading Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners of New Jersey in the non-profit category.
BW NICE has chapters throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio and is well on its way to becoming a national organization. For more information on BW NICE, visit www.bwnice.org.

“What good is it to have professional success but my relationships are a personal mess?” Those are the stirring words echoed by Brooklyn born, U.S. Army veteran, marathon runner, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and 3x Amazon Best Selling author Mrs. Audra R. Upchurch. Audra is the proof positive evidence that not only are their lemonade transformations but the powerful turnaround to…sparkling champagne. A marathon runner, Audra understands what it takes to prepare your body, mind, and soul for that individual race. It’s not difficult, but it does take commitment, training, focus, and determination. In spite of severe life struggles such as teenage homelessness and teenage pregnancy, Audra stepped out on faith and decided to make a course correction. Her incredible life story and message for us today is “We Can Too.”
A powerhouse in her community, Audra supports programs that help women, families, and youth who are struggling with mental health issues and homelessness. It’s an honor for her to invest her heart, time, and treasure to support several programs that help women, families, and youth who are struggling with mental health issues and homelessness. Once such program that is dear to her heart is the Hampton Roads affiliate of Stand Up For Kids.
